Annette Jahelka passed away surrounded by the love she spent a lifetime freely giving
to others. Annette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend
whose life was defined by generosity, kindness, and an open heart.
She is survived by her beloved son, Joseph Jahelka, and her daughter, Renee
Angilella, along with her son-in-law, Anthony. Annette was a proud and devoted
grandmother to her two grandsons, Christopher and Matthew, who brought her
immeasurable joy.
She is also survived by her sister, Annamarie Oppenheim, and her brother-in-law,
Norman Oppenheim, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends who
were blessed to know her.
Annette was preceded in death and welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband,
Raymond, her parents, and her four siblings.
Family always came first for Annette. She deeply valued her friendships and had a rare
gift for connecting with others, she truly never met a stranger. Whether speaking with a
lifelong friend or someone she had just met, Annette made everyone feel welcome,
seen, and loved.
Annette had a joyful spirit and a playful sense of humor. She loved dogs, adored
elephants, and firmly believed in eating dessert before every meal, because, as she felt,
life should always be sweet. Her love for elephants ran deep; she especially treasured
elephants with their trunks facing upward, seeing them as symbols of strength, good
fortune, and positivity.
Generosity guided Annette’s life. She gave freely to anyone in need, never hesitating to
help others, often before thinking of herself. She loved unconditionally, led with
compassion, and lived with an open heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she
encountered.
Annette’s legacy lives on through her family, her kindness, and the countless lives she
touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, her
laughter, and the love she so willingly shared.
