Dina A. Todaro Emmons was born in Howell Michigan, July 17, 1959. She passed away peacefully May 21, 2026 in New Port Richey, Florida.
She was the daughter of the late Michael and Patricia (Hadden) Todaro of Howell and New Port Richey (respectfully), and sister to Mary Baltrus of Howell, Deborah (James) Parsons of Clare Michigan, and Jo Ann (Russell) Powell of La Crosse, Virginia.
Dina was married to Namon Perry Emmons of New Port Richey, Fl., whom preceded her on January 23, 2026. They were married 37 years, but had been together for 43 yrs. Though they didn’t have children of their own, they loved many neighborhood children, nephews and nieces. They were loved like they were second parents. Dina loved to teach all the babies to say she was “the favorite.” They were Aunt and Uncle to Julie Koning, Kristy Stearns, Dennis Parsons, James Parsons and Michael Parsons.
Dina worked the family restaurant until she moved to Florida. Her work of painting faces on porcelain dolls was excellent as she loved it so. She worked with our mother for 15 years as an In Home Care assistant, which gave her the skills to care for our mother for five years. Dina was also a licensed beautician.
She loved butterflies, Tinkerbell, Swarovski crystals, joking, and sarcasm. She did a great imitation of Julia Childs and a turkey gobble, which made us all laugh to tears. Dina’s stories of traveling with her sister out West and to Europe never grew old, and always brought a laugh. She was an excellent chef.
Dina loved her family and husband deeply. She loved God, prayed often, and learned about several different religions. She suffered with many debilitating illnesses for many hers of her life, but she kept her spirit of love and life through it all.
She kept her final wishes simple, cremation with no service. In lieu of flowers donate to the awareness of Lymphedema or the cure for COPD.
Dina will be sorely missed, never replaced and always remembered with love.
