In loving memory of Douglas G Abdelnour February 9, 1951-August 2, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doug, who entered into the presence of the Lord at the age of 75 in Homosassa, Florida.
Doug was a man of unwavering love and devotion to his family. He grew up in Detroit, Michigan with his parents and two brothers Dennis and Dale.
He decided to enter into the Navy at the age of 18 and had a honorable discharge, after he became a printer by trade. In 1971 he married Sandi, the love of his life. They made their home in Michigan. In 1977, they were blessed with their loving daughter, Amy. Later that year they moved to Florida. They always said that was the best move of their lives.
He shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife of 53 years. Their marriage was a testament to commitment, perseverance, and love.
Doug found joy in life by being outdoors. He loved to go boating and fishing. Being in the forest in his Jeep and UTV bought him peace. He loved traveling and exploring new places.
Doug will be remembered for his love of family, especially his two grandson’s Trey and Collin. His grandsons were among the greatest joys of his life.
He is survived by his wife Sandi, daughter Amy, son-in-law Gary, grandsons Trey and Collin, brothers Dennis and Dale, and family.
