Jessica Lynn Diaz

Land O' Lakes, Florida

September 6, 1987 – September 28, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jessica Diaz, who left us far too soon on September 28, 2026, at the age of 39, following a heart attack.

Jessica was a beautiful person, both inside and out. To know her was to experience her genuine love for people, her love for life, and the extraordinary warmth she carried wherever she went. Most would say that she never knew a stranger—and that was truly one of the many things that made her so special.

Jessica was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a ball of energy, with a vibrant personality that could fill any room she entered. She had an incredible sense of humor and loved making the people around her laugh. More than anything, Jessica had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, valued, and loved. Giving was her love language. She gave freely of her time, her energy, her compassion, and her heart, always finding a way to brighten someone’s day or make them feel a little less alone.

Jessica had a profound love for the military community and dedicated her career in banking and insurance to serving that community through her work at USAA. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of those who serve and their families. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona, accomplishments that reflected her determination, intelligence, and commitment to continued growth.

One of Jessica’s greatest passions was dance, a love that began when she was just three years old. Dance remained an important part of her life throughout the years and eventually became something she could share with others through teaching. She inspired, encouraged, and touched the lives of countless people, passing along not only her talent, but also the joy, confidence, and passion that dance brought into her own life.

Her greatest love, however, was her family. She is survived by her beloved wife, Jesse Nieves; her two children, Johonaa Nieves and Makayla Nieves; her father, Frank Diaz; her mother, Vanessa Diaz; and her brother, Frank Diaz Jr. She also leaves behind countless family members, friends, students, and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by knowing her.

Jessica’s life was taken from us far too soon. But the light she brought into this world will continue to shine through the people she loved, the lives she touched, the students she inspired, the laughter she shared, and the countless acts of kindness she gave so freely.

She was deeply loved. She will be terribly missed. And she will be forever remembered.

Until we meet again, Jessica will hold a permanent place in our hearts.
