Lindsay D’Ascenzio (née Moore), 44, passed away on October 27, 2026. She was lost too soon and will never be forgotten. Lindsay was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, partner and friend. She lived life to the fullest and loved the beach. You could almost always find her in flip-flops, adorned with freckles and a playful smile. She loved to support her sons, Landon and Keaton by attending their games and hobbies, scalloping and seeing the world. Lindsay served her community in her career as a Child Protection Investigator with both the Pinellas and Pasco Counties Sheriff's office and later through a career in Human Relations at her alma mater, the University of South Florida.
Lindsay graduated from The University of South Florida with a B.A. in Criminology and graduated from Capella University with distinction, earning a Master’s in Public Administration. She was a self-made woman with exceptional determination, achieving an A.A. degree from Brevard Community College in 2001, while simultaneously graduating from Eau Gallie High school and working full time. Lindsay is survived by her sons Landon D’Ascenzio, Keaton D’Ascenzio, her mother, Julie Perkins-Boothman, her sister Brittany Rollando, her nieces, nephew and extended family.
Lindsay had a passion for providing protection to children in need and bravely took on the task of visiting children’s homes, making the tough decision to remove them from unsafe environments, finding appropriate placements for displaced children and continually advocating for their needs. Lindsay had several beautiful facets to her personality; she was compassionate, empathetic, forgiving and kind. She would often appear light and fun-loving but beneath that layer was a fiercely determined woman who loved her family, friends and community with all her heart. She was generous and accommodating and preferred to stay out of the spotlight or inconvenience anyone.
Lindsay carried the light of the world in her eyes with a steady warmth you could feel when she shone it upon you. Her boys were her heart and may they remember her for the beautiful, brilliant person she was. Whether she was collecting shells on the beach, enjoying a vacation with family or simply talking with her cherished sons, she was authentically herself and showed up for her loved ones with a joyful spirit.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12pm - 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Morgan-Kaduk Funeral Home
May every seashell, every sunset, and every ocean breeze bring a little of her love back to you.
Donations may be made to support Voices for Children, a local charitable organization with a mission close to Lindsay’s heart.
