New Port Richey

Mary Ann Aalborg April 23, 1943– February 5, 2026 Mary Ann Aalborg, our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, she was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, to proud parents Ann Esposito and Albert Hess. Mary Ann grew up surrounded by the warmth of her Italian heritage. She often shared cherished stories from her childhood, living in Italy with her family—tales that filled our home with laughter and a sense of adventure. As a young woman, she poured her passion into her own restaurant in New Jersey, where she delighted customers with authentic Italian and Greek cuisine, cooking straight from her heart.

Later, she relocated to Florida, opening a thriving carpet store with her husband John. Mary Ann shined in sales, loving nothing more than chatting with customers, making each one feel like an old friend. Her infectious energy and genuine kindness turned every interaction into a joyful connection. Mary Ann's hobbies brought her so much happiness: whipping up family recipes in the kitchen, hunting for treasures while shopping, and sketching her creative visions on paper. But her true favorite pastime was always time with us—her family. She adored people with an open heart, inviting neighbors over for lively parties and striking up conversations with strangers in stores as if they'd known each other forever. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and she had a fiery spunk that made her fiercely protective of those she loved.

Mary Ann is survived by her devoted daughter Michelle; stepdaughter Cynthia; grandsons David, Alex, Skyler, and Costa; granddaughter Jennifer; and a host of great-grandchildren who will carry her love forward. She was predeceased by her husband John, and four sons; Chris, Albert, Costa, and John. She is reunited with them now. A wonderful mom, devoted wife, and loving grandma, Mary Ann treasured family and friends above all. A faithful Catholic, she often spoke of Jesus and God with deep conviction. May she rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever lighting our lives.
