Valerie Ann Fisher, age 80, passed away on February 28, 2026, in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Born on February 23, 1946, in Waterville, Maine, Valerie was the beloved daughter of Christine and Aime Veilluex. She grew up in Winslow, Maine, alongside her sisters, Cynthia McKallip and Sandra Veilluex, and graduated from Winslow High School, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth.
Valerie and Kenneth shared 64 years together and shared a partnership rooted in devotion, hard work, and deep love. Together they built a family that became the center of Valerie’s world.
Professionally, Valerie worked as a bank manager before dedicating many years of faithful service as a sacristan at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey, Florida. Her time there reflected her quiet commitment to her faith and her church community. Yet her most important role was at home. She was a devoted homemaker to her four children and a steady partner in assisting her husband with bookkeeping for his construction business.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fisher; her children and their families: Kevin and Stephanie Fisher, their daughter Gabrielle Fisher and husband Jordan Best, and great-grandson Oliver Best; Brian and Stephanie Fisher, and their sons Ian, Emmett and Ellis Fisher; Patrick and Donna Fisher, and their children Skyler and Kendyl Fisher; Beth Fisher, and her sons Mason and Christopher Rule.
All of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her and carry forward her legacy of love.
Valerie found joy in traveling to the mountains and traveling to visit her family. Her presence was compassionate and nurturing, but also playful. What many will remember most was her silly nature; her lighthearted spirit that could bring laughter into ordinary moments. She will be remembered for her candid way with words, her generous spirit, and above all, the way she loved her family wholeheartedly.
A service to celebrate Valerie’s life will be held at Morgan-Kaduk Funeral Home in New Port Richey, Florida, on Saturday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m.
Valerie’s legacy lives on in the family she built, her charitable nature, and the joy she carried into every gathering. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In lieu of fresh cut flowers, the family kindly requests living plants that can be planted in Valerie’s memory and continue to grow in her honor.
